Steam's new Framerate Estimator will change PC gaming... but it goes much deeper.

We’ve been hearing rumors for a while now: a Framerate Estimator is coming to Steam. This week, we’ve even had a leak or two. But it’s been going on for a while. On March 9th, 2026 Valve offhandedly mentioned a new feature in the Steam Beta Client.
