TIL what "flair" is

Thanks to the Tour.

Pity Lemmy doesn't have it, but great that PieFed does.

I was "hand flairing" posts by putting [News] etc at the start of the post title until I discovered this. (Although I still might, for the benefit of Lemmy users.)

I've been meaning to ask about those. How have people been using them? I haven't really noticed posts with tags. (Except for ones from or about Mastodon.)

PieFed, Mbin, Mastodon, etc all federate tags with each other. Some of the busier communities have built up a decent amount of posts with tags, such as https://piefed.social/c/technology@lemmy.world (look in the sidebar).
